In the morning, we visited hocco (Musashino-shi, Tokyo), a rental housing developed by Odakyu Bus, where a representative from Odakyu Bus explained the background and concept behind the establishment of the facility. Members learn more about the background and concept of the project of hocco.
In the afternoon, the group moved to the headquarters of Odakyu Electric Railway to discuss the direction of this project. First, Professor Deguchi gave an overview of the project and the philosophical ideas behind it, followed by a presentation by Deputy Laboratory Manager Mine of Hitachi Kyoto University Laboratory on more concrete possibilities for the research project. This was followed by a lively discussion with the Odakyu side, which provided the impetus for the future direction of the research project.
